Enclosure Structure
The choice of materials for the cooling tower maintenance structure depends on water quality, climate, environment, available maintenance resources, product lifespan, and budget. BAC offers practical solutions tailored to customer applications and budgets.
Imported G235 Galvanized Steel Plate (Standard)
The enclosure and structure use imported ASTM-A653 “G235” galvanized steel plate.
Enclosure Coating (Optional)
Electrostatic coating on galvanized steel significantly improves corrosion resistance.
Stainless Steel Enclosure (Optional)
304 and 316L stainless steel panels are available, connected with stainless steel bolts.
Fillers
Equipped with patented composite suspended fill made of PVC, designed for high heat transfer efficiency. PVC offers corrosion resistance and microbial protection. The fill is suspended from the cold water basin for easy cleaning. Low air flow resistance between fill layers ensures high efficiency.
Coils
Various coil options are available to meet different heat exchange and pressure drop requirements.
Standard Serpentine Coil
Made from continuous steel strips, each coil undergoes a 25-kg pressure test and hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection. Designed with a slope for proper drainage. Available in two-circuit standard and optional three-, four-, or six-circuit versions to reduce pressure drop.
Stainless Steel Coil (Optional)
Available in 304 and 316L stainless steel, pressure tested at 25 kg. Stainless steel coils may have slightly reduced heat transfer; please consult BAC sales.
ASME "U" Stamp Coil (Optional)
For high-pressure applications, ASME-certified coils are available, complying with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Hot-dip galvanized and pressure tested at 2586 kPa.
Cleanable Manifold Coil (Optional)
Serpentine coil bundles welded to perforated plates with removable covers for internal cleaning. Available in carbon steel or stainless steel, tested at 860 kPa.
Cleanable Straight-Through Coil (Optional)
Straight-through design with removable end caps for cleaning. Available in hot-dip galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel, tested at 860 kPa.
Multi-Circuit Coil (Optional)
Divides coil into multiple independent circuits for varied pressure drops or fluids.
Half-Circuit Coil (Optional)
Doubles fluid path length inside coil to increase velocity and enhance heat transfer, suited for low flow rates.
Drive System
Fan drive expels heat to ambient air. Motors are designed for wet and hot environments with permanently lubricated bearings for maintenance-free operation. BAC’s belt drive system is reliable and easy to maintain.
Standard Drive System
Uses BALTIDRIVE? belt drive with aluminum pulleys connected by rubber belts for efficient transmission.
Variable Frequency Motor (Optional)
Saves energy and reduces noise during partial load operation. Recommended frequency range 25-50 Hz or 30-60 Hz depending on electrical system.
Dual-Speed Motor (Optional)
Ideal for large load variations (e.g., day/night). Options include 4/6 and 4/8 pole motors. Consult BAC sales.
Explosion-Proof Motor (Optional)
Available for hazardous locations. Contact BAC sales.
BALTIGUARD Drive System (Optional)
Two single-speed motors and belts: one at full load, one at two-thirds speed consuming about one-third power. Provides backup with ~70% heat exchange if main motor stops.
Noise Reduction Options
Multiple fan types to meet noise requirements.

Prevents damage from excessive vibration; mechanical or electronic versions available.

Prevents freezing during winter when idle; maintains basin water above 4.4°C.
